Update from Channing 5/2/13

Channing has been extremely busy since March! From going to San Jose for International Convention, attending the Eta Gamma Dance and Car Show, supporting the chapter as we had our first C4 signing event, and picking grapes at the vineyard to raise money for our service project! She was proud to help Eta Gamma accept Hallmark awards at International Convention as well! Channing has simply been too exhausted to post! She is doing well but is super ready for summer to get here so she can take a break!

Channing will be attending Honors Institute this summer, as well as the new officer lock-in in Topeka! She plans to break open the books and do some Honors In Action project research with some of the members as well! Hopefully she will soon get to go on a mall trip to buy some new outfits!

This weekend will be a busy one for Channing she will be attending Holden's Hope in Pittsburg Saturday night, the rush back to Coffeyville to go to the scholarship auction on Saturday night, then on Sunday she plans to attend the Chapter Recognition Ceremony! She has been excited to go to Holden's Hope all week!

Until next time,

Channings First few weeks with Eta Gamma!

Since Channing moved to Coffeyville, she has already had many adventures! From going to Parson's for Tau Theta's Induction Ceremony, to attending our monthly membership meeting! Next week Channing will be taking the journey all the way to San Jose, she will have to break out her party dress for the awards ceremony!

Next month will Channing will not only be going to San Jose, but will also be running for Spring Fling Queen at the Eta Gamma Benefit Ball on April 12 from 9-Midnight! Half the proceeds will go to Relay for Life and the other half will go to the Kansas Region Life Happens Scholarship!! The entire KS region is invited to this event! The following weekend Channing plans on attending Eta Gamma's Raven's for a Cure Car Show to benefit Relay for Life! So if you know anyone who has a car they would like to enter the entry fee is $20 which includes lunch and a chance to win one of six trophies!  Channing really hopes that everyone can come see her at these events!

Coffeyville Community College Here I Come

Eta Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa rocked the Channing Cheer's at the KS Regional Convention in Hutchinson, KS March 10th.  They won the rights to hosting the best mascot in the Kansas Region!  I will be staying with their chapter until the next competition.  Some exciting things are going to be added this year for the Channing Cheer competition.  Watch for my Channing Chats to keep updated on what I've been doing with Eta Gamma.
